Solar System Interactive Display

An interactive display for the Raritan Valley Community College Planetarium, intended for use by children on field trips. This display served as our final project for Interface Design Programming.

Iterating from the work of the previous class, my class created additional content for the display using PixiJS, as well as fixing bugs that were left over from previous versions. My particular responsibility was for the Phobos screen, a sub-section of Mars. I also worked on the Sun screen, and ensuring consistency in formatting for the final class submission.

RVCC Foundation Website Prototype

As a project for User Interface Design, my class worked with the Raritan Valey Community College Foundation to design a new website for them. My class researched other college foundation websites, interviewed RVCC Foundation board members, and used that info to create a list of User Needs & Requirements for the site itself. At that point, we began creating User Personae, Use Scenarios, and Task Models.

You may find our design document including all of the above on this google doc.

While we worked as a team on everything else, I personally created the final interactive prototype using powerpoint. Screenshots are posted just above, but you may also download it here. We have been informed that our design was taken into heavy consideration when the project was handed off to RVCC's website team.

Endangered Animals of NJ

My User Interface Design Capstone project unfortunately spilled over into the beginning of pandemic during my final semester, Spring 2020. Because of this, more emphasis was placed on the design document and overall design process for the project.

I chose to design an interactive and educational site for elementary to middle school aged children, and chose to focus on endangered animals of New Jersey. I reached out online to parents and teachers with a survey for their children, and with this information I began the design process.

In the pdf to the right (also found here, if the embed does not work for whatever reason), you'll find my full design document for this project, including User Personae, Storyboards, Wireframes, etc.

I was unfortunately unable to implement voice narration in my final working prototype, but you can play with an interactive prototype here!
